I asked him to pull up his last 12 months of passport entry stamps:
- Singapore: 6 trips. Vanuatu visa-free in name, but in practice requires online pre-clearance with stricter scrutiny than his Chinese passport
- Dubai: 4 trips. Vanuatu was originally 30-day visa-free, since 2025 reclassified as visa-on-arrival at $80 per entry
